Welcome

Welcome to Go Safe Scotland, a new interactive resource for delivering safety education to Scottish children. The activities have been created by teachers using the Curriculum for Excellence and promoting key safety messages advised by the partner agencies, including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland and RoSPA.

The resource has been designed to engage and challenge children and aims to develop their awareness of safety issues and develop their own ability to assess risk and keep safe.

Each activity is supported by a full lesson plan and makes use of a variety of learning and teaching approaches, building on prior learning, sharing the learning outcomes, using collaborative and active learning and includes onscreen prompts for discussion and plenary.

As the resource is online it can be kept up to date with current safety issues and will continue to grow and evolve.
