Playing It Safe: Knife crime prevention resource for primary schools

No Knives, Better Lives (NKBL) programme has launched a new resource for practitioners working with children aged 6+ to prevent knife carrying.

Playing It Safe comprises a mix of activities and games exploring themes of responsibility, emotions, friendship, consequences and influences. It joins the existing suite of resources from NKBL designed to support the development of learning opportunities for young people related to knife carrying and knife crime. The learning is aligned with Curriculum for Excellence experiences and outcomes.

Playing It Safe is available to download on the NKBL website.

No Knives, Better Lives (NKBL) is a Scottish Government programme which aims to prevent knife carrying amongst young people in Scotland. It is run by the national delivery team based in YouthLink Scotland.
